Why do I have to reinstall Fortnite because of a move to another hard drive?

Made a mistake and saved many of my games to the wrong hard drive. I have now moved the folders from the programs over to the other hard drive and deleted them from the old one. Now I have started the Epic Games Launcher and have to completely reinstall Fortnite even though the data is actually there, just on the other hard drive. I specified the Fortnite folder on the new hard drive as the installation location in the hope that nothing will be missing.

Do I have to force Fortnite to reinstall now?

Ri

Yas you have to

Ha

If EpicGames thinks it needs to be reinstalled, it will be

But it can also be good that he does a "file" check of the files and just "flies over"

Ha

If you have backed up the correct folder, then no new installation should be necessary. So the folder must be in the correct path.

The Epic Games folder must be specified as the download directory.
Accordingly, the Fortnite folder should be located in it.
And in this only the Fortnite files.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look close. 7% in 20 minutes: /

Of course you have to and I don't understand the problem at all.

The Siel has only 30GB or so that is done very quickly

Ha

Then you probably have to reinstall, then EpicGames or Fortnite is not so smart

al

Then you don't know my line…

πŸ˜….

Oh yes right.

Internet is new territory for all of us πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ€·πŸΌβ™‚οΈ.

But not for me πŸ˜… Glass fiber has been around for decades.

Sad that Germany is so bad as far as the Internet is concerned.

Okay, unfortunately I think I have already given the wrong path.

Tried to reinstall in the Fortnite folder instead of the Epic Games folder. Do you know how I can change that?

al

Yep live in a small town and the internet here is worse than that in the villages next door: /

This is very very sad: - |.

But in 2020 this shouldn't be a problem anymore, because you can simply buy a router that has the new 5G standard or the 4G standard.

That would probably help a lot of people with their internet problem.

And I think dead spots are dead now, at least Deutsche Telekom is trying to cover them

Ha

Well as I described it.
If you have entered an incorrect path (I'm talking about the download folder in the Epic Games settings), then change the path.
