Fortnite sound vice versa?

I have the problem that if the opponent is on the left I hear the steps in my headset in the right ear.

You put your headphones on the wrong way.

Put the headphones on the other way round.

How about if you could buy a new headset?

Maybe your adapter is broken on the headset.

I often ran out of handsets until I ordered a new adapter for 7 euro.

Stand on your head or you simply turn your headset over.
