Fortnite distortions in the picture?

I recently started using Fortnite and discovered that the image is often distorted when I move the mouse. The distortion is always just a line that goes through the picture. This is exactly what VSync wants to fix, but almost nobody uses VSync, so I suspect that the problem is mine. On my PC and the rest of the settings, it may not be synonymous. In other games I do not have such a distortion. Here are the infos:

Intel Core i7 8700
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
16 GB RAM
144 Hz monitor with Full HD and 1 ms response time, graphics card set to 60 Hz
Internet: 56 MB / s
Fortnite:
Saved to HDD
Everything is set to medium
FPS limited to 60
Full HD
3D graphics at 100%
Motion blur
(VSync should be off)

I have also times the FPS number in Fortnite set to unlimited. Then had 300 FPS, but the distortion and my graphics card was used to 100%. If I switch VSync on the problem is actually fixed, but on the Internet nothing positive about VSync.

Okay, I had that too, then got me a pizza, then it went again.

XD No, please send a screenshot and let me know if you play Streched? And you use 2 monitors?

Then I can give you a good answer…

What you mean is called "Screen Tearing" and this is best fixed when you turn on V-sync! This can happen if your FPS does not match your monitor's Hertz! (So if you play at 144Hz, but only have a 60Hz monitor!)

What he means is Screen Tearing!

Re

FPS limit of 60 I would pick up first your monitor can 144! Then use this too…

what you see is Tearing (Stutter) this only goes away with G-Sync or FreeSync.

Vsync alone does not fix that. It only reduces it.
