I have a pc with I5 7600k, a gtx 1070, a B250m per Vdh board and 8gb 2133mhz Ram.
I would like to upgrade and ask whether this combination would be recommended or whether there are suggestions for improvement. I will mainly play with Valorant and Fortnite.
thanks in advance
So if it fits in your budget, then yes.
I sell my old hardware for 210 euro, so I have a significant increase in performance for 100 euro extra
Yes, so this upgrade is great.
Thank you
Upgrading from an i5 7600k to a ryzen 5 3600 up is a waste of money. It shows 1% more performance in benchmarks.
For gaming I need the more cores in the ryzen 5. In addition, my i5 7600k is always fully loaded, for example in fortnite and my graphics card is only about 40%
I don't know what kind of games you play but usually games don't use more than 4 processor cores. I would rather recommend you to get a cheap z370 or z390 board, overclock the processor a bit and you already have a PC that can play almost anything. The slightly more power of the Ryzen 5 3600 will definitely not make it for the money. In addition, the b450 board does not support the ryzen 3000 CPU's as the BIOS has to be flashed first. So you would need an older Ryzen or Athlon CPU to install a new BIOS. I would recommend https://geizhals.de/...WL-1576486 because the switch on amd doesn't do much in terms of gaming.
It fits down to the mainboard. The board would need a BIOS update. So better take a board from MSI with the suffix "Max".
The Ryzen 5 3600 easily keeps up with the i5 9600k when gaming
AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6x 3.80GHz So.AM4 BOX
Intel Core i5 9600K 6x 3.70GHz So.1151 WOF
RYZEN 7 2700 or if you have more money ryzen 7 2700x
