I recently bought used individual components that I can assemble a pc.
Are installed:
RX 480 8GB
Intel i7 2600
Asus motherboard with a comfortable fan (which one I don't know exactly)
RAM 12GB RAM
Power supply 460W
For example, when I play Fortnite, I just get a black picture in the middle of the game and the PC restarts.
I also have the problem that sometimes I don't get any contact on mouse, keyboard and / or monitor when starting.
Does someone know it well and can help me?
So that the PC turns off and restarts later, could be because the power supply can't provide enough power.
460 watts is not a lot, but can still be calculated. Do the math, beQuiet offers a power supply calculator.
The power supply should be optimally used to 80% (also available), but it can also happen that it does not (reach) the promised 460 watts.
Maybe it was a cheap power supply, but maybe it's just old.
In both cases (cheap or old) you should definitely buy a new power supply, because if you're unlucky, the thing can kill all of your other components and you don't want that.
I personally would therefore never save on the power supply and would never buy a used power supply.
The second problem can theoretically be due to everything, that can't be said.
