I play Aktiv Fortnite on low settings and based my setup and specs on many good players. One of these has a 2070 Super and an I7-9900k and it doesn't complain (at least publicly) about FPS drops or the like. Besides, it doesn't look like he's had any problems either. Accordingly, I oriented myself to his specs, which is why I got a 2070S & I7-10th gene. But my game shows strong FPS drops on the same settings, as well as a strong delay on the mouse. The only thing that differs from my setup and its is the ping / ms (mine 35ms / its 10-20ms) and its monitor brand. I have Hz just like him (240Hz).

So it is lagging then it doesn't necessarily have to be due to the PC have you tried other games and how was the performance because I have the same graphic card and Fortnite does not lag with me. In the beginning it was tagged but after a short time it got better.
In other games like CS: GO it is almost constantly 240FPS.
But my ping has changed drastically so I currently have 40ms permanently with a 250k line. Which is not common I guess.
