1280x1024 is not a square but 4: 3 and if everything is "bigger" then the resolution is too low. Turn them over and everything will be "smaller" again
We had something similar here before, the camera was just closer. Seems to be another view that was set after the update. Who can hack the settings.configs might even change that (but I think that will not matter)
