The graphics card sends 120 FPS to the monitor but only 75 FPS are displayed because your monitor renders the FPS at 75 FPS. If possible, set your FPS ingame to 75 FPS because otherwise you will lose unnecessary performance, the graphics card will overheat more easily and the picture looks spongy.
