When I wanted to move my Fortnite from my Ssd to my Hdd with the Folder Move program, I had 70 GB free on my ssd. I canceled the process because it had taken over an hour. When I then checked how much memory my Ssd still had, 30 GB had suddenly been added. Can anyone tell me what this is about?
Check to see if there are "remnants" in the destination folder on the SSD from being canceled.
It can't be the wastebasket, the memory is reserved in advance, so it has a fixed size regardless of whether it is empty or full.
I can't imagine that the program FolderMove uses a temporary cache that takes up space. That just does a copy, then he deletes the old folder and creates a hard link (Smybolic Link) that "points" to the new folder, so that programs believe that it is still in the old location.
