Suitable graphics card for a8 9600?

I would like to know which graphics card I can keep up with in a few games, including Fortnite.

Please don't write that my cpu is bad, I know that myself. I just want to know which graphics card would be best because I'm currently

cpu: a8 9600

gpu: r7

RAM: 16 RAM

Mainboard: A320M Greande MS-7A39

So just say which graphics card would be best without bottleneck and…

Bottleneck for which game?

Fortnite

Take the RX 570. It fits perfectly with the CPU. And that's better than NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050ti, which costs the same

Vi

Second hand…

GTX750ti

NEW

GT1030 DDR5

Ni

What do you mean by used

Vi

Well buy used. EBay or eBay classifieds

Ni

Oh ok thanks for the answer

Vi

Basically, I agree with an RX570 8GB, unfortunately the olle really seen DualCore CPU is completely overwhelmed with it. But it is the best solution for the future.

Vi

For the future (in case you replace the rough CPU) an RX570 8GB is the best choice.

The processor is already very weak and will probably bottlenecken almost any size of strong graphics card, just get a Ryzen 3 1200 for 60 euro and then something like a used R9 280x for 30 euro and the thing is eaten. The old 1200 with 14nm is available from 35 euro if you want to save some more.

Tr

Is the CPU really dual core? I always thought the a8 would be a cheap quad core…

Vi

This is an old bistrol that was put on the socket AM4.

The CPU is based on the modular design. 2 CPU cores were packed on one module. The A8-9600 has 2 modules with 2 cores each.

Unfortunately, this is such a messed up system that a module can only be called a 1 core with HT.

So it's actually a dual core with 4 threads.

Annotation:

AMD has paid compensation for the FX CPUs, which is also based on modular construction, in the USA and apologized publicly because the application as an 8 core CPU was not really right… Unfortunately, this is only possible in the USA.

So you can see 1 module as 1 kernel with HT, that's about the performance.

Tr

😂 So creative

So I still have a Phenom II X6 1100T black Edition on an AM3 socket

Tr

Combined with a GTX 970

Tr

And the GT1030 is really lame. But for this processor there's also a GT710 with which no game is running 😁

Tr

Are there any 1 cores with HT at all?

Vi

Yes it is lame, but has about the same performance as a GTX750ti.

My kids play stable with an i5-2500 and a GT1030 DDR5 Fortnite with 900p and medium / low settings with approx. 35-40FPS. So bearable.

But yes, I think that looks 💩.

Vi

Naturally. In the past, there was also the Pentium4 with HT.

But the A8 has 2 cores with the theoretical HT… Ergo 2 cores with 4 threads.

Vi

You can see how bad the modular design is. An FX6300 (alleged 6-core) is slower despite a higher clock than a Phenom 1100T which is a real 6-core.

Tr

Why don't you buy a decent PC? I mean playing on 900O is not so much fun… I would with min. Play 1080p.

Vi

Because there are * two children and I don't spend my hard earned money on it. If you want something better, you have to save and buy something better (holding your hand is not) … It is enough to play.

Now is not a comparison… BUT… When I was young I could not buy a Mercedes straight away but drove an ole beetle, it was enough and took me from A to B.

* two children… Calculate what it costs for 2 children a reasonably good gaming pc + monitor… Say now 700 euro per child and then you have to keep the system up to date in terms of hardware.
