Huhu,
I have had my PC for a few years now, I bought it completely ready on Amazon and since then have of course first tested different games.
Google and games that are not that blatant in terms of video quality (e.g. Minecraft, LoL to relatively low graphics settings, Sims 4) are relatively easy to play. But games like Overwatch, Paladins, LoL on high graphics settings, Fortnite etc. Are really bad or not playable. Overwatch, for example, is almost completely blurred in-game.
So I want to ask here whether the problem is with my graphics card (it was already installed in the PC, didn't do anything about it, I don't even really know where it is) and if it is because I simply "put" a new graphics card in can? Heard there are many things to consider. (Pictures from my PC system, graphics card, etc. I've added here as a picture)
Looks like you don't have a dedicated graphics card (improve me if it's not true). You could certainly install a graphics card, but it would be good to know which motherboard you have.
Sorry, but unfortunately it is so.
Even an extra graphics card won't really do that better.
The PC was already a trash can a few years ago.
More than a GTX1050 / 1650 makes no sense, the old DualCore CPU can't do that.
The APU is quite old. Retrofitting again leads to a bottleneck in the CPU. Whether you can retrofit depends on the mainboard. Maybe you don't have a graphics card at all and the integrated graphics unit of the CPU works for you.
If the performance is no longer sufficient, but you still want to spend little money, I recommend you to assemble an upgrade system for 200-250 euro. With a current APU from AMD you have more than twice as much power as with the previous one. If you use the power supply and housing from the old computer, you save another 50 euro. And if the performance in 1 year is not enough for you, you can still buy a current graphics card.
Hmm ok… Will it be possible to play games like Overwatch "normal" with this graphics card?
Sorry I'm not familiar with anything like that… Can you also access the mainboard on the PC?
Sorry I don't know about that. Can I call up the mainboard?
And upgrading doesn't quite understand either… But sounds good
The GPU can do that, even your very weak CPU should be able to achieve 1080p over 60FPS
OK then I will probably buy one of the two. Do you simply replace the new graphics card with the old one? Do you have to pay attention to something important?
You don't have a graphics card in a slot.
So just install a new graphics card and install drivers.
Yes you can, download the CPU-Z program and you will see everything.
You can see which mainboard was installed in the "System information".
You can find it by typing it in the search line at the bottom left.
On "System overview" you will see the name of the mainboard under "BaseBoard-Product". Most older motherboards should still support current graphics cards, but as I said, I don't think a new graphics card is particularly useful for your system.
If you want to assemble a new PC, I advise you to upgrade to a PC where you can use the more powerful integrated graphics unit of a new processor (CPU) to do a lot more work. And if that gets too slow, you can simply add a graphics card.
Assembling a PC yourself sounds difficult, but after 1-2 YouTube tutorials everyone can do it. In the worst case, you have to sacrifice an afternoon or evening for this, you really can't do anything about it. That also has a certain amount of experience. In the end, you just put together a few cables. All parts have a space provided for them in the system and if it doesn't belong where it doesn't fit. So I built my first one at school, so I was able to take a very similar photo, where things are connected, and it worked right away.
For the PC you need 6-7 parts:
Processor (CPU or APU) An APU is simply a processor with an integrated graphics unit, so you no longer need a graphics card.
Mainboard (motherboard) is the "base" of the whole system, a large board where all other components are connected.
Hard disk (SSD / HDD) your permanent storage space
Main memory (RAM) your temporary memory (a clipboard for the processor) has a "latch shape". Often 2 of them are installed.
Power supply for the power supply
Housing (in theory you don't need any but you don't want the stuff lying around)
Graphics card (optional with an APU)
In your case, you only have to buy 3 parts because you can continue to use your old housing and power supply without them being able to slow down your new hardware in any way. CPU, mainboard, RAM that's it. The last part of your old hard drive is then inserted into the new PC and it then runs as normal without you having to copy your data from one PC to the other.
here instructions.
https://geizhals.at/?cat=WL-1521296 here recommendations from me including mainboard and case if you want to have a completely new one. An SSD hard drive is also included, but then you have to copy your old "clone" from the old to the new, and that would be a little more complicated.
Would this be fine for my PC?
Found one on Amazon. Have left the picture of it here as a comment, it would be nice if you tell me whether it is okay
Thank you so much! Now I've pretty much understood the whole thing. But I will probably buy the graphics card first, install it and see how it goes. Otherwise, I can upgrade with the things you mentioned.
NO! For God's sake!
This is almost SCAM!

An old GTX1060 with 3GB VRAM… You don't even get 50 euro for it.
Keep your hands off it.

I would choose the GeForce GTX 1650 Mini-ITX OC 4G. Many thanks so far. Only need a little advice when installing. I saw a video about how to do that but it wasn't that clear to me.
I do not know, for example, whether it may be that the graphics card does not fit the size? Or is my PC just not capable of it? I also saw that you have to connect such boxes from the PC to the graphics card. I'm also not sure whether I have these boxes.
Of course, all of this can be clarified in advance.
Insert a picture here with your open PC (remove side panel). Then you can see how much space you have.
Yep First determine what is installed there.
Ok now I've opened both PC's, I'll take pictures of them now.
The first two pictures is my PC that I'm currently using. And the last two are photos from my brother's basement PC.
I have to say that it looks pretty high quality even if it is so dirty.
Pictures should be in here. Would be mega if you would advise me here too.
Juhu found an old PC of my brother, is old and dirty but has a graphics card and everything else. It's also double the size of my previous one. As you said I cleaned the hard drive from my PC to my brother's PC, cleaned it a bit and tada everything works and my data is completely there.
now only has to test whether games like Overwatch etc. Can be played on relatively good settings. Oh yes, I still have a question, do I have to install something because of the graphics card or can I somehow see if I have already installed it?

Should actually do Windows alone. But looking up can't hurt, then you also know what hardware you have and write this here.
So.
In the first you have a lot of space for the new graphics card.
The second appearance to be a little better is an old AM3 but the graphics card could be something.
But you can't say that because you don't recognize what it is. But almost everything is better than your current one.
And yes, everything looks a bit higher quality. Starts with the power supply…
Ok have a look all current drivers of the graphics card are installed. I put pictures of the system overview and hardware somewhere here.
OK, unfortunately no information about the GPU (graphics card) can be seen. You would have to download GPU-Z from the Internet, because then you can see more.
About the CPU… Your A6-6400K is almost twice as fast as your brother's Athlon 7750.
So, I just put in the screenshots of CPU-Z. Would be nice if you could advise me.
Can you install a GTX1050TI. More will probably not be possible because of the processor.
I have now ordered an Amd Athlon x4 845 processor. Hopefully that will be enough ^^ if not, I can consider creating a new graphics card.
Uhh you know that the processor doesn't have a graphics unit? And you get your PC without a graphics card then no picture on the monitor?
(According to the Internet, the processor has no graphics unit)
Yes, I know that, but I have a graphics card in my PC 😮
To be precise, the Radeon HD 6950 from Sapphire.
It's been a while since I looked at the forum. So if you still have problems:
The PC may run slower if drivers are not up to date, old ones can slow down the PC considerably. It's worth checking and updating everyone. The best way to do this is to enter it in the "Device Manager" in the desktop search field. There you will find all the components that need a driver. Go to the arrow on the graphics card and processor and you will see your own name. Right click on it and "Update driver", then "Automatically search for the latest driver software" if it finds a current one → install it
