I got a PC last week with GTX 1060 (3GB) with Windows 10 64bit. And there was the video driver at 415.xx and then updated it to 417.35. Everything without problems.
Today I wanted to update the version to 430.39 because I could not open Fortnite any more. The update has always failed (see picture). I downloaded it several times on the official site and a few more times about GeForce Experience. I then just completely uninstalled my 417.35 version and apparently that was a mistake. I even talked to a colleague on Discord who is more familiar with PC's and after a long time the problem is still not solved. I have already tried everything (such as admin rights, manual refresh, restart, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and GeForce Experience tried reloaded, synonymous times I've tested other versions and there appears the same problem). In the device manager, the graphics card is also not displayed, probably because I currently have no driver.
I ask for help from experts.
Try with geforce experience
He already tried
It's hard to judge from afar. Here, a software may be defective as well as a hardware defect. Let's hope for the former.
The first thing I recommend you is the following program:
https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Please in safe mode and then restart synonymous.
Haste that made you download the current driver on the geforce experience down (which is then removed and must be reinstalled).
If it does not work then we'll see.
Yes, I also noticed when I read again
have already reported my answer
So I should download the program via the link, then restart the PC and then install the latest graphics driver? Did I understand that so well?
Download the program, start in safe mode, start the program, select nvidia, let the program do the job, reboot, geforce experience downloadne, installi, driver download, install.
Thanks, I'll do it tomorrow at noon and let me know if it works
Why is the secured mode so important?
In safe mode, a standard graphics driver is used and also certain databases and device drivers are not loaded - so you're pretty much on number sure that nothing goes wrong in the rough. Is of course a bit more complex - you can read in detail on the wiki:
https://de.wikipedia.org/...rter_Modus
This is especially true of the end: Because in Safe Mode, most other processes working in the background (anti-virus software, network components, advanced video drivers, but also many
https://de.wikipedia.org/...putervirus, etc.) do not start, the safe mode is also particularly suitable for errors search or uninstall.
And how long should I leave the safe mode inside? Until the reboot or only after the complete video driver installation is complete?
Then forget the update.
The driver will not be your problem anyway.
Do not be so complicated - have it written above, the safe mode runs until the next reboot.
