I know the graphics card prices are currently very, very high, but depending on the price, I wanted to find out which graphics card I should get. The processor is the Ryzen 5 2600 and the current graphics card is the Asus RX 580 GB OC. I have 2 144hz monitors and games on FHD 27 inches. I rarely reach 144 FPS in Cold War and Fortnite (I play the games), which is why I want to upgrade my graphics card.
Can you give me a recommendation?
I don't want to go beyond my price range… I want a card that can do that (144 FPS FHD) and have 3.4 years of peace and quiet. Reluctantly over 580 euro.
No matter if AMD or GeForce
I would recommend RTX 2060 SUPER to you
What does the super stand for? So does it make a big difference whether it's super or not?
The RTX 2060 Super is often 10-15% more powerful and also has 2GB more RAM than the normal RTX 2060. It's also good for the game of Fortnite, because the more ram you hate, the smoother Fortnite runs.
Many Thanks
With pleasure.
RTX 2060 S.
A 2060/2060 SUPER sounds good. You could also look for a cheap RTX 3060 as soon as prices have normalized again.
Which and how much RAM do you use?
16 GB Ram Why?
If you had little memory, that would have been the bottleneck of the system. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a factor.
Ah ok thank you very much
The Super is simply a newer version with about 20% more power. However, according to the RRP, I would rather recommend a 3060, since it is actually cheaper according to the RRP and has considerably more power (approx. 50% more than the Super). For a 2060 Super I would pay a maximum of 300 euro and for a 3060 450 euro, both of which will be difficult to find at the prices, since the 2060 Super is no longer produced and only used and remainder stocks are there, but it's good if you have one for find under 300 euro (new) then it still works…
You can still buy RTX 2060 at, for example, Alternate. And the 3060 450Euro believe that is not entirely true. The 3060 should now cost 700 euro. In addition, it also depends on the slots, and I would not recommend it if needed.
I wrote what I would spend on it. The MSRP is 330 euro, so there's a bit of a buffer. If those are not currently available, I would just wait a little longer.
Oh yes and about used cards: I wouldn't recommend them either, less because of the slots (if you use a Pcle3 mainboard, that shouldn't be a problem, because old pcle 2 graphics cards are so old that even the Uhd 630 is more powerful. ), but more because of the very rapidly falling performance, the lack of a guarantee and a higher susceptibility to sudden failure…
