I would like to put together a good PC for gaming and learning by Christmas. Up to here I have already ordered:
• Ryzen 7 3700X
• Asus ROG Strix B450f gaming motherboard
• 2 × 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
• Crucial 1TB SSD
• Sharkoon TG5 housing
• 600 watt power supply from be Quiet!
• a CPU cooler also from be Quiet!
Now my question is which graphics card should I take (it should of course be one that brings many FPs in shooters like COD or Fortnite)
I'm currently considering whether I should either use the MSI RTX 3070 Ventus 3 × or whether I should use the slightly older Gigabyte RX 5700 XT. The 3070 will probably only be available again at the beginning of January (so only after Christmas) and costs 799 euro today (but it is also better for that)
Or should I prefer the somewhat older but still sufficient RX 5700 XT? This costs 475 euro and is currently still in stock…
Please remember that the graphics card should be suitable for learning and gaming, so it should run well. In addition, I don't really want to spend that much, especially because, as far as I know, the 5700 XT is more than enough…
But please tell me your opinion;)
I just built a PC a short time ago. I took the GeForce RTX2070s and I can handle it very well. Also only costs around 500 euro.
If it has to be now, I would take the RX 5700 XT, which is perfectly adequate for FHD. The prices of the RTX 3070 are just a waste of money.
I want one too, but I won't pay more than 500 euro.
In the current situation, I would keep my hands off the new RTX cards. The prices are far too high for the cards to be listed as good as no other retailer and for the delivery times to be pure speculation. That goes down to the older map.
The delivery situation for an almost 5 year old GT710 is currently better than for any other card on the market.
If the performance of the XT is enough for you, then take it.
The problem is I can't find it anywhere…
