I plan to buy a gtx 1060 or RX 580.
The only question now is which of the two is better in OBS.
With the gtx 1060 you can record on OBS 1080p60 with 65,000Kbps.
What about the Rx 580?
Maybe someone has this graphics card and can do a test or talk about experiences.
What I want to record with the graphics card is Fortnite on high-epic settings.
I thank you in advance for your answer!
As far as I know, the new NVidia cards have good encoders. Didn't you even think about taking a 1660Super or 1650Super? They should be better.
I still stay at 1060.
Is it better in something like in OBS than the Rx 580?
The Pascal-NVENC is significantly better than its Polaris counterpart. The only question is to what extent it makes a difference for you. When it comes to pure recording, it doesn't really matter. If in doubt you drive a very high bit rate, you have a correspondingly good quality and you only have to deal with large file sizes.
Yes. 2GB more VRAM with the 580 doesn't matter. 1060 has a bit more power, cools better, etc.
Would a recording of 1080p and a bit rate 60000 work with the Rx 580?
I can't tell you exactly. Otherwise I would also consider the cheapest GTX 1660.
The 1060 has a very good NVENC encoder, which is more powerful than that of the 580.
So yes, the card makes sense. However, I would consider the 6GB model because 3GB are not enough.
Cooling always depends on which design you choose
Back then I recorded myself with a ner 580 and apex legends maximum setting and always had over 60 fps with the same fast recording
What about the Rx 580?
Stronger GPU, more memory (8GB, instead of 6GB) thus more powerful.
At what bit rate did you record?
