Does anyone know why I only have 40 fps in fortnite with my i7 2600 and an xfx Rx 580 in medium settings and my pc goes out can this be due to the power supply?

As others mistakenly write here, the CPU is not too bad… It easily manages over 100FPS in the game, just like the GPU… The problem has to be somewhere else… If the system switches off, there are 2 reasons
it is getting too hot
there's no voltage supply
you should first of all check the temperatures of your GPU and CPU in game mode and see if all the cables are plugged into the board and the graphics card… Defective RAM is also conceivable -> but then you should rather have blue screens:-)
