Is a MacBook Air 2018 sufficient?

I'm about to buy the current MacBook Air 2018 with 8 Gb RAM and 128 Gb SSD memory (the memory is sufficient) and I wonder if the MacBook Air 2018 with 1.6 GHz dual core processor and 8 GB RAM is sufficient to play games like Mincraft with many modifications or Fortnite on good graphics, or it would be better to buy a MacBook Pro.

Ps: It is said that the MacBook Air with Turbo Boots to 3.6 GHz, but I'm not so sure what exactly that means.

Request for early answers!

For Minecraft also the air is enough, but for Fortnite it is borderline.

Does it have to be a MacBook? The pure hardware performance for games here is of course limitlessly overpriced.

If you want to use an Apple device as a gaming machine, you have to accept that it will have a lot of compatibility issues. Many games (let alone platforms for them) are not supported by Apple. Then there are the massive temperature problems that will come to 1000% probability in such a small case as a Macbook Air. This means that your CPU at high load determined by thermal throttling (thermal throttling) is not 3.6 GHz will reach…

I urge you to take an Apple device for it.

Apple devices are not bad. They do a good job in all other application areas. These machines were simply not built for gaming.

You can also put together a much better setup for a small budget. You save money, have more performance and access any platforms and games you like.

If you want, I can help you put together your own set-up or find a ready PC that fits your budget and performance.

Do not blame the money for a huge sales margin, and a CPU that will flare you off at the game, poor support & repair and absolutely 0 upgrade opportunities… To the window…

Overpriced, impossible to upgrade and temperatures that you could fry your breakfast egg on your keyboard…

No. Why do you want that, ouch. A MacBook Pro is a great device, but all Macbooks have it in itself that they are quite unsuitable for gaming, if you do not buy the top model with dedicated graphics card.

The Air is absolutely overpriced and would be enough for Minecraft, Fortnite you can absolutely forget.

With Windows you get notebooks for 500 euro, which have much more power.

But to gamble you should always buy a PC, if you have the opportunity, never a notebook!
