CPU usage in fortnite too low and therefore too little FPS?

My CPU, the Ryzen 5 1600, is only used to about 50% in fortnite and my graphics card, the Radeon RX 5700 XT, is max. 60 - 75% busy.

My goal is more FPS, because with this setup I unfortunately only have 150 early midgame and max. 80 fps in late - endgame. In every fight the FPS drops very strong and it feels like I'm playing at 60hz (I have 144hz). Can't aim, build or edit properly in any fight.

Now would like to know if I would get more FPS if the CPU is used more by fortnite than 50%.

I guess it won't be because of the GPU, it is more than sufficient.

Thanks in advance

Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 floor

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

RAM: Corsair vengeance 16GB 3000mhz

MB: MSI b350m Pro-VDH

No SSD

Which settings? It doesn't have to be 100% … You should have 200+ low settings

Ly

Which settings?

Ha

You need more single-core CPU performance, that's what Fortnite benefits from

Li

All graphic settings on low.

Low resolution doesn't help either.

Li

Have everything on low that goes.

bo

And above all you need urgent Nh SSD

Is your ram really set to 3000 MHz, your ram is also set to T1 = Faster, T2 = Stability

Li

Ok, what can I do now?

Le

Write me a pn, something is not normal

So according to userbenchmark, 150 fps is normal for fortnite with your graphics card and I would like to note that I get * only * 120 with my 1070. Regarding the FPS drops I can't help you and what I don't understand is why your fps in the endgame are getting lower. I mean the computer always loads the same amount of data. (unless the game is slower for you the closer your opponents are, which would explain both the slumps and the engaging FPS reduction).

Last but not least. The CPU of many games will not be over 60% and generally never 100% full. However, 100% is that 50% is normal. What you could try is to overclock your processor. This works as long as you don't have a mainboard chipset from the A series (I can just see that you have a b350 mainboard, so you're good to go for overclocking). And overclock the graphics card! That gives you the most FPS. (Although it doesn't really matter if you have a 14rhz monitor anyway)

So CPU-Z says 1465mhz DRAM frequency dual channel and NB frequency also says 1465, is that correct?

Unfortunately I don't know what t1 and t2 mean.

Ly

Maybe you turned on vSync

Ly

That's right with the ram, but I'd rather go to 3200mhz with your ram and increase the tension a bit from the ram. T1 = Faster, T2 = Stability

Li

In the endgame there are usually 30 opponents in competitive, which is why the few FPS in endgame btw.

Can I easily overclock the CPU with the cooler stick? Unfortunately I have no experience in overclocking.

And why does the graphics card give me the most FPS to overclock? It should rather be due to the "worse" CPU, right?

Ly
Ha

Change to a new CPu / new ryzen

Ha

But that limits him

If the temperatures are okay you can overclock, of course. If not, then not.
