Fending off Fortnite Kingsman damage doesn't work?

At Fortnite there's a Skye task where you have to ward off 200 damage with the Kingsman. With me the opponent can shoot as he wants and nothing happens. What can you do there.

For me it is apparently a bug. Which may be fixed in the next update.
