Have changed everything the values are absolutely top of about 70mbs on 223mbs increased in which I use a different powerline device and another outlet etc. In the speed test, the values are synonymous much better.
But if I go ingame (Fortnite) then the ping is still the same (40ms)
This may be because the server itself can't be reached quickly, for whatever reason.
Take a ping test.
Simply enter into the input prompt "ping http://www.xyz.de".
or here: https://www.wieistmeineip.de/ping/
Transmission rate ≠ RTT (Round Trip Time)
Ping is just measuring how long a packet takes from you to the destination.
Higher bandwidth and higher data transfer does not automatically mean lower latency.
You are standing at a traffic light. Your reaction time is measured by switching from green to the smallest movement of the car.
The first measurement takes place in an 85PS car.
The second measurement takes place in a 300hp car.
Just because the second car has more power, your reaction is not better.
Especially not if you have a Sunday driver in front of you with the brake wants to start!
The situation is similar with the ping.
The data packets traverse an extremely large number of network devices, switches, routers etc.
Each device must "work" with these Pakers.
If only one of the devices in the chain has a bad day, all the others who come behind it, because they have to wait and you notice that on your ping.
This presentation is of course extremely simplified.
Since it's better earlier 33ms now 27ms
Hm and what should I do now? : /
Well that can also be measuring tolerances. You can't nail latencies in Internet traffic to 1 or 2 ms. They vary.
I guess then at the game. How is Ping like that in other games?
Do not play another😅 in others is not so important so well
Maybe the Fortnite server is further away from you than the server of the website. Then there can be differences.
This presentation is of course extremely simplified.
But is great to understand.
I like that
