Fortnite online status?

I play Fortnite on the Switch. Is there a way to turn off your online status so that friends don't see you are online playing? Unfortunately, I didn't find anything in the settings or don't know enough about it.

You could activate the "absence status". To do this, open your friends menu and select the button that is displayed next to the gear wheel.

Then you change the online status to "Away". Another possibility would of course be to (temporarily) block the friend; if you want to play with him again, you can unlock him again. I'm not sure if the friendship will be broken, just say it was a "miss click".
