Why am I directly on Fortnite at Computer restart?

I've downloaded Fortnite on Epic Games and now it takes longer than before when I turn on the computer when Fortnite opens and installs updates. Is that normal? And can one adjust it so that it is no longer so? Because I think it's not so good, because there's always such a message below if I have friend requests or invitations.
