I have had a 3D printer for some time and am wondering how I can create the skins from the game Fortnite myself as an object file to print them.
In other words, I need the skin in such a file that I can insert it into programs like ChiTuBox and that the skin can then be seen from all sides.
You don't need it. There are so many other people online who have converted the skins and you can just download them.
Really? Can you send me pages

Unfortunately, the models will be unsuitable for 3D printing…
3D printers (and especially the slicers that produce layers from models) require 3D models that are "waterproof" (manifold in English). This means that the parts must have a real volume. The characters in games are mostly composed of areas that can be displayed well on the computer. The slicer doesn't make anything sensible out of it…
For this reason, there are also conversion programs. For example, you can convert an .OBJ file into an .STL that also has a real volume and this in turn into .gcode.
An STL file does not necessarily have to have volume. STL is simply a format that defines subjects. If I create a cube in Blender, remove a surface and export it as an STL, the file can't be printed.
For this reason, Blender has an add-on for 3D printing, which can test models to determine whether they are "manifold", ie "waterproof". This means that the models enclose a volume. There's also a "Make Manifold" function, but this only works with certain errors, in many cases you get an unusable object by using it.
Does anybody know in which file format the skins are used in the game?
