Can I stream on Twitch in 900p60?

My upload speed is 9.74 Mbps and I play games like Valorant, Fortnite and Rocket Leauge. I currently set the quality 900p60 at a bit rate of 6000. I just have such small micro stutters in the stream sometimes so I don't know if that's enough.

Wouldn't like to play in 720p60 because it doesn't look that good.

So what do you think, can I stream in 900p60 or should I go down?

ta

With the upload you can stream 1080p60hz. Is just the question of whether the cpu / gpu participates in xD

mi

Exactly what CPU and graphics card do you have, Passipa?

Ni

Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 2060

Your hardware is pretty good, almost perfect for streaming.

Please set your streaming program so that only the CPU calculates the stream.

Then observe in the task manager how much the CPU is being used when streaming. (would be great if the CPU still had 10% air)

Can you try it in FullHD @ 30FPS? I think a high resolution is more important than 60 FPS for a stream.

Please set your streaming program so that only the CPU calculates the stream.

I always streamed with Nvenc new, isn't that better?

Hy

Yes, it's better, but only works with Nvidia cards, hence the "NV" in the name… NVenc means NVidia encoder…

Ni

Okay but GandalfAwA said yes I should stream via CPU. And do you know where the micro stutters could come from?

De

I have to add that Twitch only supports a maximum bandwidth, which is why even large streamers often stream in 900p, as that often looks better

Hy

I stream with 1080p50 in 6 Mbit and that looks great…

So on Twitch you can as far as I've seen on:

1080p, 60fps - 6000 kbit / s

Here is the detailed article: https://www.esports.com/de/mit-diesen-obs-settings-zum-perfekten-stream-108124

See how busy your hardware is, depending on whether you are using a CPU or GPU.
Check whether your internet is not overloaded after all (what is still going on while streaming that might use up the upload?)
If possible, upgrade to VDSL 100/40 Mbit if required.

mi

Yes, it can be better with your RTX 2060, but x264 can also be better if you have enough CPU power.

Just try it out… So that the CPU doesn't run at 10% and the GPU at 100% …
