My password on the PC is pretty simple (my first name, hyphen, last two numbers of my year of birth)
A friend of my brother's guessed it and played it without asking me, downloaded Fortnite (which I can't play at all, I've tried that before) but then deleted it again because my storage space is not that high and I don't play it anyway.
I bought the PC with my apprentice salary.
What now… He installed it on your computer and you deleted it again?
did he even apologize?
just change your password
Mmhh, if you're sure he did it just because of computer games, then I'd accept the apology and choose a better password. But he could also have your private pictures / chat history etc. Apart…
He went to my pc without asking me (I wasn't there) and downloaded the game
Your own fault for such a stupidly simple password 🙄
Change your password…
No, I have no pictures or chat history on it, only write with my mobile phone, I only use it to surf and play
Well then, what should he have done wrong? Change password and it won't happen again.
For yes / no questions, the solution is very simple:
What changes when you say no or yes? If the result is the same for both, take the more positive one. In that case it doesn't change whether you accept it or not. It's your brother's friend. So in the end it doesn't matter if you accept his apology. So do it.
Otherwise - the whole topic is unimportant for your life and you. Take a better password and see it as a lesson.
Tell him to stay away from your PC and that's it. It didn't cause any damage and if your password is that simple, you can leave it out.
