I bought a PC and would like to play fortnite with my friends but if I insert my headset into the headset slot, the microphone will not be recognized by the headset and if I put it in the microphone slot it will be recognized but not the headphone and the Sound is output through the speakers.
The way I hear it, your PC only has a micro / speaker slot!
In such a case you need a 2 in 1 adapter:
A microphone jack does not allow you to convert any acoustics that you can hear. If you then hear the sound through speakers, that's just a sign that no other device (in this case your headset) is detected because it's not connected.
So make sure your headset is connected correctly.

Also, make sure the sound playback settings are properly configured through your headset, and not through another audio source and the recording function on your headset.
