Voice chat fortnite on switch?

I have a new headset. Can hear the music and everything and I also turned on everything on the microphone, but there's still no sign that I'm wearing it. My friend I play with has her headset on but I still can't hear her. Do you know how I can set it so I can hear it and speak for myself? LG

It may be that you are in different chats. (Groups and voice chat) Otherwise just restart again.
