Change Fortnite name not working?

I want to change my name to Epic games I would know how but if it says if I want to change it, I have to check my account. Does anyone know how this works

It may be that you have changed your name in the last 30 days if not verify the email maybe it works🤷

There's the above with the email and that you can send the email again after that you go into your mail program and open the mail then it should be verified and you can change your name
