Common problem with MSI Afterburner and Battle Royale games?

I actually always have the problem when I start Fortnite, H1Z1 or similar that my MSI Afterburner closes. If I don't notice this in time and forget to start it again, my GPU goes to 90 ° C and my PC switches off and restarts. It only occurs in Battle Royale Games with me. Is this a known problem and maybe there's a solution?

Which graphics card do you have and have you set the fan control in Afterburner to "Auto" or manually?

Da

Got an RX 580 from MSI and made my own fan curve

Gu

Made my own fan curve

then it could be because. A graphics card normally staples itself down first to lower the temperature. If that doesn't work, it switches off for hardware protection. Set the fan control to "auto" or try it to 100% and see if it still switches off.

Once had a similar "problem" with my 1070.

The temperatures can't be. With my own fan curve, it keeps temperatures around 70 ° C under full load. And it was primarily not about switching off the card or the PC, but that the afterburner simply switches off and then only switches off the card when it is at the 90 ° C limit because the fans are stopped.

Gu

Did you ever look in the taskbar to see if it is active there?

Da

Yes I have. But it really turns off completely. Doesn't even run in the background

Gu

OK. Googled once. That actually seems to be what the game developers wanted.

Read times in the forum, maybe you will find a tip there on how to get it going anyway.

Okay thanks. 😄 Let's see if I can filter out something clever from posts in various forums.
