I have put together a pc and you are welcome to make me suggestions for improvement. But the water cooling stays inside! But my real question is how much FPS will I have approx. In Minecraft, CS Go, Fortnite, Overwatch, Battlefield and Rocketleague on high settings and how many on medium settings? Thank you
housing: Kolink Observatory Lite RGB Midi-Tower - black
Motherboard: GigaByte B450 Aorus M
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO RAM 16 GB DDR4 3600 MHz
SSD: Patriot P300 256GB
Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, 4x 3.70GHz, boxed
Power supply: be quiet! PC power supply ATX 500W System Power 9
Graphics card: RX 570 Expedition 4GB
Water cooling: NZXT Kraken M22
Mass storage: 1000GB Toshiba P300 high-performance
All other components are fine, but water cooling would actually not have been necessary.
If you already have a graphics card then I would recommend a 3600 instead of a Ryzen 5 3400g (the 3400g has an integrated graphics chip and is not necessary.) And if you already have a water cooling system consider a Ryzen 5 3600x (which are logically more expensive, however you can overclock it.) and instead of an RX 570 an RX580. Nowadays the prices for graphics cards are very expensive, but with a little patience the prices will drop again from around mid-summer. I would recommend buying it after the summer. The RX580 gives you 22% more power than the RX570.
If you use Ryzen 3000 or 5000, I always recommend a B550 board…
the R5 3400g costs about 200 euro and has 4 cores… A Ryzen 5 3600x costs about the same and has 6 cores -> makes more sense:-)
Can you only overclock the x CPUs from Ryzen?
You can set them either through a software program or in the BIOS. Logically, you need good cooling for this and you should always keep an eye on the temperature.
No, I know how to do that, my question is whether you can only overclock the CPUs with x or all of them
No, you can overclock all of them (with a few exceptions).
Ahh ok I was just very surprised because I also thought that it was possible, which is also the case
And how many fps do I have with this configuration now
And how many fps do I have with this configuration now
It's hard to estimate with yours but you will play in many games with your set at Rainbow: ↑ 60 FPS, Minecraft: - 60 FPS, CSGO: ↑ 60FPS (is a toaster tester so logical.) Fortnite: N / A ( I can't estimate well because I never play it and have an RX580.) Overwatch: ↑ 60 FPS. Battlefield: - 60FPS Rocketleague: ↑ 60 FPS. Star Citizen: ↓ 40FPS (I've now added but this game is badly optimized and even the strongest graphics card only gets 40 FPS.) If you want to upgrade your graphics card to an RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6800 xt or something. I really recommend improving your CPU. A Ryzen 3400g has only 4 cores and that is the minimum for gaming with high end stuff. I really recommend the Ryzen 5 3600. It has 6 cores and significantly more power.
Ok thank you and I'll think about the ryzen 5 that I buy the graphics card directly and I'll think about whether I hollow the rx 580 but it is immoment very expensive anyway and I will only hollow the pc in the fall
So I still have a theoretical question for you, could I retrofit an RTX 3060 with the configuration that I have now? So would that fit the space and the cables and wattage of the power supply? And would that make sense?
You can get an RTX 3060 and yes it will make sense. The main memory and the CPU would be the ones who could break a sweat.
What might be a problem is if you do a lot of RGB mix mux in your PC, it can use a little watt. Exactly how much I don't know But since an RTX 3060 consumes approx. 200 watts (more precise data is not available because it was only released 2 days ago) and your CPU 65 watts and with overclocking a little more or up to 95 watts. You have to look. Your power supply would have to be able to cope with it if there's not so much additional power hog. Otherwise buy a 650W or 700W power supply for significantly more installation in the PC. (But it doesn't have to be.)
But why should my RAM fruit come sweating? I have 16 gb 3600 mhz ram
"Could" Because the games with ultra high settings eat up a lot of performance. For "Ultra Gaming", 32GB RAM is recommended for really high performance. The 16gb ram are enough for now. More than 32GB RAM is then not really necessary. 3600Mhz is already a high frequency. But you have to check whether the other components, e.g. The motherboard or the CPU, support this frequency. Otherwise the MHz number of the Rams doesn't bring anything.
Yes that supports you but would the Ryzen 5600 do that too?
I'm not sure because the B550 and x570 boards are compatible with the Ryzen 5600.
This is because they support a zen3 architecture.

ps: sry for the late answer
Ok would that mean i need another board?
Unfortunately, yes, but the Ryzen 5 3600 CPU is completely sufficient for now. You just have to see how much CPU power is drawn. Then I would first consider getting a new CPU + board. If you haven't ordered any of the grade then I would even recommend a B550. The future is also safe. The B550 also supports the Ryzen 5 3600 CPU
But a b550 board is much more expensive
And could I also operate the ryzen 5 3400g with a b550 board?
And could you suggest a good but cheap b 550 board that has everything I need
B550 does not support Ryzen 5 3400g (with intrigued graphics) g stands for intrigued graphics and if you have a graphics card you don't need it. A Ryzen 5 2600 does. Otherwise buy an X570 chipset and that is still a long way from being "cheap."
That would be the board I would have suggested. https://geizhals.de/...01343.html approx. 10 euro more expensive but future-proof.
Does it have an argb header and all the necessary connections?
Yes, it has.
Great, I'll take a look at it, but then I'll have to buy the ryzen 5 3600 instead of the Ryzen 5 3400
Yes, but in my opinion it is better than buying a 3400 g. Why?

So the 3600 has about twice the speed.
OK
