The ping initially has nothing to do with the Internet speed.
I'm assuming you connect via Wi-Fi. If so:
If the range to the router is not that great, use the 5 GHz frequency band (if available)
Get as close to the router as possible
Reduce the number of active devices on the Wi-Fi
Eliminate further electromagnetic interference. Switch off Bluetooth on all devices if you use the 2.4 GHz WLAN.
