I have a 1070ti aero msi 8gb, and a Ryzen 5 2600. However, I have strong FPS drops in some games. Is it maybe because of my 40 euro mainboard or my 450 watt power supply? I don't know which company, but it seems that it wouldn't be a good one. (I've already ordered new parts). My graphics card is a bit lower in Warzone while I'm playing at 79 degrees, and in Fortnite a bit lower, but stronger FPS drops. What could it be?
My specs:
Graphics: 1070ti aero msi 8gb
cpu: ryzen 5 2600
Power supply: 450 watts (I don't know which company.)
Ram: 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHz
Mainboard: Msi a320m pro vds
SSD: 240GB
HDD: 1TB
The things I ordered:
Mainboard: B450m standing
Power supply: BeQuiet system power 9 600 watts
Cooling: Cooler Master Masterliquid ML240l V2 RGB
Housing: Thermaltake Level 20
Will things go better?
If the temperatures of the graphics card or processor get too high, the devices clock down to avoid hardware damage as much as possible.
It looks like your cooling isn't enough.
how warm is your processor?
Instead of replacing the mainboard + power supply, I would have rather installed a water cooling system or first checked whether the airflow is good and the hot air is transported out of the case.
Because you said that it could be the power supply:
just see how much power your gpu can use. Just take a look with msi afterburner or hardware monitor or something and see if the gpu gets enough power anyway.
Of course, the loss of voltage can also come from an overheated power supply unit because it is poorly manufactured / designed.
Okay, but why is my graka getting so hot? Many say that 79 degrees is perfectly fine for a 1070 ti aero.
I've already ordered a water cooling system, it says below.
I meant for the graphics card…
The same people believe that a temperature 5 degrees below the emergency shutdown (immediate shutdown of the PC without any message) is totally safe. Or that hardware damage caused by heat in the components is impossible.
Why it gets so hot I have no idea check the fan settings. But every graphics program is different, so I can't guide you through it.
What could help would be that you specify that the fans should always run at maximum. This function should be there somewhere.
Do you have discord?
Why?
Do you need help?
Yes, I could then show you everything exactly (screen transfer)
Emergency shutdown is at over 105 degrees or so 😂 I think everyone is worried
If you have time now I'm just on the pc.
Yes, you can turn on for a moment, dc name: Don Nexu # 0255
I would use, for example, RivaTuner (included with the MSI Afterburner) while playing to see whether and what is downclocking and why. If you have a second screen you can of course use any monitoring program. Simply keep an eye on the cycle and temperature.
