I'm looking for a new processor. I would need it for livestreams in which I would play Fortnite or Hitman 3 on the side. Now the question arises to me whether the 2 cores would be more noticeable in the future. For the next 3 years I would like to have some peace and quiet. I would buy the processor used. The Ryzen 7 3700x currently costs 210 euro on ebay and the other 120 euro. Would the surcharge be worthwhile with a view to the future
Well, there are already some games that I think can use 6 cores, and since the engine is also improving, I would take 8, whether you will still be able to drive well with the 3-series version in 3 years is another problem.
So only few use single core, e.g. Minecraft Java Edition, as far as I know.
If the offer for the Ryzen 7 3700x is trustworthy, then I would take it. 210 euro is a fair price.
So you are better equipped for streaming.
Ok, i meant more single core. So whether you have 4 or 6 makes no difference between them. But you are right, since most of the game engines have upgraded, it makes more sense to use 8 than 6 cores, especially if you still want to stream.
I described it badly. I'll change that
No problem.
At the moment you can take as a rough guideline:
Gaming only: 6 cores
Content creation: at least 8 cores
