I would like to upgrade my PC with an rtx2060 or Rtx2060 super / gtx 1080ti, but I do not know if the processor will not slow down the GPU. My graphics card is the 980 gainward with 3GB. With the GPU, I want to play the GTA V VisualEvolver mod, play Fortnite and other games. My question is whether a dergenanny GPUs fit and my PC will use the full power of the CPU and GPU?
With this combination you definitely run the risk that the CPU slows down the Rtx (of course, it also depends on the ventilation of the processor, including the case). I personally would invest in a new CPU, your i5 is very old and comparatively weak for the Rtx 2060. It would work, but not with 100% performance.
Yes, but there are no new CPUs for the CPU socket, just old ones and I don't have that much money at the moment. If I had to, I would have to install an i7 4790k so that the rtx works much better.
I would recommend you to save and then buy a current mainboard with a current CPU, it makes no sense to buy the old i7 for two hundred euro, even if it would be a little better, because it will not be new and everything other than future-proof.
https://www.amazon.de/...084WQMM61/ This bundle would make sense and would work great with the RTX 2060 and would be 100% suitable for gaming, since everything runs smoothly.
Don't be put off by the price, take a look at the Ryzen 5 3600 and the mainboard individually from other providers (e.g. Geizhals), because they are even cheaper.
If it is still too expensive, you can also use the Ryzen 5 2600 as a processor, which is cheaper and does the same.
(just as a little recommendation how I would do it)
Thank you for your answer but I'm considering either buying the rtx2060 super as a start in the next few days or warye until the 3000 series comes out because then the 2060super will be much cheaper and then I have 30fps less, but I could save a new mainboard with Cpu because I bought 16gb ddr3 yesterday and I don't wanna waste it. I look at Ebay classified ads.
