My local disk c (SSD?) Is already relatively full due to Fortnite. But so that they can continue to buy the game smoothly, I now have everything on local disk D (see picture). Is that normal or good or does it have disadvantages / problems?
Thanks and LG
The data carrier has nothing to do with running smoothly in terms of fps
Normally would have no disadvantages.
However, you should take a look at where exactly this is saved as you probably don't know. If you don't know that, this could cause problems that the system doesn't care about either. In any case, Windows has no stress with the setting.
If data is loaded or written during the game and the hard drive can't keep up, there are fps drops up to and including a complete freeze.
So it is a good idea not to pack the hard disk (also SSD) completely full. Otherwise, they can be significantly slower.
If you want to play games on an HDD, it only affects the loading times, the performance remains the same.
