144 or 240 hz monitor to my gaming PC?

240hz will not hurt you, you will not be able to make a difference, and virtually no video card can currently play at that much fps. 144hz are already maximum and I would not buy more hz. 100-120hz I find enough already because you notice no difference anymore.
