Pc upgrade?

So I got myself a gtx 1060 6gb but somehow no longer had fps and so on, then I figured out that, for example, at Valorant, Fortnite the cpu was 100% bottlenecked (at least that's what the bottleneck calculator says).

So now I would sell my parts and the gpu to me

a ryzen 5 2600

msi b450m pro-m2

and still ram probably gskill aegid 16 gb

to buy.

then, for example, the gpu would bottleneck 100% in fortnite and the cpu with Valorant would be 16.12% (according to the bottleneck calculator)

is that okay or is it bad if the gpu bottlenecked but then i would have more fps than now or not?

what do you say and I don't want someone to say buy this and that because it shouldn't be expensive

is my decision good?

Pa

I don't think the decision is too bad. Do you have an SSD. And is your power supply good enough

Pa

What hardware did you have before?

Le

I have a small 120gb ssd on which I have windows and a little something else and a convenient pure power 500w power supply

and then I have a couple of hdds

Vi

What is your current CPU?

Le

I7 3770

Le

I7 3770

Vi

Yep. That fits, the CPU can do a lot more. But it is not bad that the GPU goes to the limit better than the CPU to go to the limit.

Le

So a resounding YES?

or is there any other advice or something

or does the combination of ryzen 5 2600 and gtx 1060 6gb not work well?

but is it even guaranteed that I will get more fps?

Vi

The 3770 goes very well with the GTX1060, are almost ideal.

Your weak point in the Ryzen 2600 + GTX1060 combination is clearly the GTX 1060.

And no, you don't get much more FPS because the GPU is the block on the leg with a Ryzen 2600

Le

So should I leave my pc like that and not upgrade?

Vi

Given the prices and current availability, I would think about it 3 times. It only makes a lot of sense if you renew the GPU in addition to the CPU, RAM and mainboard.

Or you decide that you change your base as a precaution and then later buy a faster GPU.

But as written, with the current hardware situation on the market, that's not very smart.
