I have a Lenovo laptop and I can play Fortnite at around 30 FPS. Since this is very unstable. So I wanted to ask if I could add new hardware such as a processor to achieve better performance. I would appreciate a quick answer.
In theory this is possible yes.
In practice, however, the processors are firmly soldered to most laptops.
There are only a few high-priced laptops that can be exchanged.
The whole thing can only be done with difficulty if it is possible with your laptop, since the hardware such as graphics card etc. Is mostly built into the laptop itself. So it is generally rather difficult.
It has built-in slots. You can swap something. Actually only HDD and RAM.
For a new processor you have to replace the whole device.
You could just stream over the cloud. There are enough services for this, such as Geforce Now. There you have a stable 60 FPS. The catch is that the premium version costs what and you need good internet. Or you could try to install an external graphics card.
Or rather not install but rather connect. There are adapters like https://www.amazon.de/...078TDYL6B/
Laptops are built in such a way that the processor can't be upgraded.
If the RAM of this laptop is not soldered then it could be exchanged, but since the speed depends on the processor, it will probably not be faster.
The only thing that is usually upgradeable is the memory. Buy a bigger hard drive, or even better a faster / bigger SSD. The disadvantage, however, can be that this increases the heat in the device and therefore the fans always run much louder from this point onwards than before. Since you can't set the fan speed on all Lenovo laptops, except for the ThinkPads, I would advise against it.
If you use laptops and want to upgrade sensibly, you have to get a better device.
If money is generally tight, consider the following list:
Cheapest: Streaming providers like Stadia (a few € per month + the game)
Consoles (400 euro + the game, or game subscription, requires stable internet)
3rd place PC Gaming (400 euro to 2200 euro + the game, high upgradeability, - very dependent on published games)
Most expensive: 4th place laptop gaming (1000 euro and up, no upgradeability, very dependent on published games)
