Why am I not getting the best performance?

I'm currently using a gtx 1070 and a ryzen 5 2600. I now only get very unstable 100fps in Fortnite while others with the same specs get stable 160. I don't know what to do now. For example, I thought that maybe it was because I optimized the registry a bit. I just went through a few optimization videos. Otherwise I have all drivers up to date and only overclocked the GPU a bit. But it didn't work before. What could it be and what can I do?

no

How much RAM do you have, what speed?

To

Counter question: Which RAM have you installed at the moment? Because this also plays a crucial role.

Co

RAM could actually be to blame. What RAM do you have, what speed and in what mode does it run? (Dual-channel… Etc.)

Co

Here you can see each other again.

Wo

I have 8GB ram twice with think 2666mhz or something

Wo

Twice 8gb 2666

Wo

2x8gb 2666

To

So a total of 16GB?

Co

Do you think? Can you read it out with HWInfo?

no

Okay, is the RAM set to this speed too? It may run slower.

Wo

Yes

Wo

I set 3000mhz in the bios. However, 1064mhz is displayed in Speccy

Wo

I set 3000mhz in the bios. However, 1064mhz is displayed in Speccy

no

Look at what is in the Task Manager (under Performance -> RAM). Then pull the window a little wider

Wo

The task manager says 3000mhz

no

Ok, then everything fits.

Co

Please read it out with HWInfo. You also have to take the measure 2 times, DDR = Double Data Rate. So 2 * 1064 would be 2128Mhz. What motherboard do you have?

Wo

The mainboard is the ASUS PRIME A320M-K and in HWInfo it says 1066mhz for Memory Modules and below for Memory 1496. I don't quite understand.

Co

Have something else forgotten: Which RAM do you have exactly?

Memory modules 1066mhz

Under "Memory Speed"?

What does the BIOS say?

Wo

The ramset is called Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 and the memory speed is 1066mhz, in the task manager it is 3000mhz and in the BIOS I have also set 3000mhz.

Co

Did you set it manually or with XMP or D.O.C.P?

Co

This is really confusing when two programs display different things. If you have loaded the 3000Mhz XMP profile in the BIOS, then it should also run on 3000Mhz.

Wo

Use D.O.C.P and then selected 3000mhz among them

Co

Then have below 3000mhz

It is actually enough if you load the profile. That happens automatically.

Once you have selected the profile, it should run on it as I said.

Co

What resolution are you playing at?

Wo

Play on 1920x1080. Have now changed the speed again. The task manager now contains 3333, cpu-z 1662 and HWInfo 1066.

Co

Yes CPU-Z shows the correct speed. But also look at the stability of your system if you overclock the RAM. Because of the dissolution:

Could it be that people with the same specs just set lower graphics settings?

Wo

No, have everything like me.

Wo

Do you happen to know anything about performance bias?

Co

Do you happen to know about performance bias?

Oh this ECO stuff and stuff? No, I'm not familiar with. I didn't use it (I had an Asus B450 board myself…).

Wo

Okay, so the speed in Cpu-z is the right one?

Co

Jo 2 * 1662 = 3324. Whatever the reason, Speecy and HWInfo have a select error. Maybe it would bring a BIOS update.

Wo

Bios is up to date

Co

Well. That is why you always have to read out with several programs. But what about games? Does everything work now?

Wo

Well, I didn't really change anything.

Co

You asked the question 6 days ago. It may be that you have found a solution. Can you send the video with the people? I would take a closer look.
