Have a 7 2700x and a 1070 msi graphics card with 16gb ddr4 ram.
Now my question is I stream over obs and via cpu. Is logical in the cpu. If I just so example, but streaming Fortnite I have stark performance differences as if I do not stream, however, the cpu is not even in the neck heavily loaded with other games is similar. Why is that?
Try assigning the game itself, as well as the streaming tool fixed CPU cores… Do not forget Windows with 1 - 2 Cores.
Of course, with 16 virtual threads, you first have to find out which 2 threads belong to which core.
In most cases it should be that thread 0 and 1 belong to physical core # 0, thread 3 & 4 belong to physical core # 1 … Us.w.
But also tell me in which OBS settings exactly you want to steal at all… (for direct connoisseurs using this tool)
Ämm ok with cores to show or just threads I do not know me. I stream in a 1280x720p scaling and 60fps to a 2500 bitrate how exactly do I assign the cores and bring that what?
Purely on the meaning and feasibility of fixed resource assignments you will find here first instructions and background, since sometimes Win is still stupid:

Regarding the application and optimal configuration for OBS and similar tools you have to be patient for answers in this regard experienced user.
Basically, the CPU, RAM and drives have to do a lot more to stream active applications and games than the game itself. (That's why the noticeable performance losses)
