I would like to use the Mac mini for gaming. It uses the following components:

hardware

Apple M1 chip with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU and 16-core neural engine
16 GB of shared memory
256 GB SSD storage
Gigabit Ethernet
Accessory kit

software

Photos, iMovie, GarageBand
Pages, Numbers, Keynote
macOS

how many FPS or how fluid would it be with the device? In games like Minecraft or Fortnite (full HD, max graphics)

It doesn't even have its own graphics card, but please don't buy an Apple to play with

I'm amazed that Apple is still selling cookie jars. I haven't had good experiences with the older generation. The things in the office broke quickly after the warranty expired.

What does shared memory mean? Do the graphics chip and memory share a bar? I do not know. An IMac is certainly the better solution.

No. It lacks an SSD, a good processor with a good single core. You have a cell phone chip…

In general, windoof is better for gaming: More games and generally better.

Games like Minecraft and Fortnite would run smoothly, but Fortnite on Max will be difficult. So an IMac with a decent graphics card would be better.

Well - that's not quite true about the cell phone chip. The M1 achieved better performance values in an x86 emulation than a Surface pro - and that without optimization:

"The MacBook Air crushed the Surface Pro X in both single- and multi-score Geekbench 5 testing. Apple's new laptop scored 1730 points in the single-core process, beating Surface's score by just over 1000 points. Multi-core testing revealed an even larger disparity, with MacBook Air clocking 7454 points to Surface's 2734 points. "

It's not for nothing that Apple throws the Intel chips out of their desktops.
