Why can't I log in to Fortnite?

When I wanted to play Fortnite, I started it in the launcher and in the Fortnite window I had to log in again. I did that, but then I got an error message "Logging into Fortnite servers is not possible, try again later." Then I kept trying, but it still did not work. Even after PC and router restart it was not.
