Are the fortnite servers just overloaded or down?

I just wanted to play with a buddy fortnite but there was Iwie 6 minutes in the queue and then just wait and then stood there login not possible then I have again waited 8 minutes and then again nothing and jz is there iwas with 7 minutes and no idea about him that was the case.
