Not at all. Even if it is private, people can watch it with the link and thus spread this music. If you don't have the rights to do this, Youtube will let you Striken and remove the audio track.

In private you can't see the video via a link either, you can only see it via a link if it is set as "not listed"

Personally, I use Sony Vegas as a free variant ShotCut would be one of the most professional applications.
