How is my MSI After Burner fan curve not working properly?

Somehow I've been having problems with my MSI Afterburner lately, I set the fans to 100% and as soon as my Fortnite starts it closes once, sets the fans to 15% and can be turned up again, but the fans don't actually spin any faster! Anyone know what that could be?

First start riveting, then the afterburner and call up the saved profile there.
