I would like to know how many of the people who played the game played it at all.
Why should I build a house or build some constructs in the air while I'm under fire? This construction function has not lost anything in a shooter for me and in addition there are the childish avatars, cheers and in general the many children who yell at you with a headset… Could never understand the hype.
Especially in a battle royale, the map shrinks over time. What does your house bring you if you have to leave the place quickly, totally built otherwise. XD
Building a new skill area is in the game. In the other games Movement and Aim is actually everything, in Fortnite there's still building. And children screaming through their headsets? So I gamble with friends and not with any randoms. And hype is mostly undeserved, Fortnite got it because it is so family-friendly and therefore could be seen everywhere, and because this new construction feature was still there.
Familyfriendly?
Yes, it is clear, just because your daddy allowed you to do this is far from family-friendly.
I have to admit, the game was really fun at the beginning. I have been online with friends every evening and have played several rounds. It just had something new, the gameplay was so simple that it didn't take long to get used to the game. And I think that's what made the game so popular.
But as with GTA Online, the game makers made the mistake of pumping non-stop content into the game. At some point there was so much stuff in the game that you no longer had an overview and that also took away the desire to continue playing. It was just a big mishmash clump, a big mess. At some point you just have enough. Also, one does not necessarily want to be associated with the majority of the target group (felt 8- to 13-year-olds). Meanwhile, I just find the game just sucked out. Too bad.
Hardly any other game can be called family-friendly… Especially not those that pull the money out of the children's pocket.
Absolutely boring gameplay and building seems completely out of place.
I generally don't understand why Battle Royal is so popular. I got to know it in Minecraft in 2012, at that time it was still called Hunger Games.
Back then, too, it was just a mode that you once played out of boredom for one round, but in the long run, no thanks. I prefer to watch paint dry.
This is a shooting game from 12. The graphics are comic and the game has children between 12-14 as a target group. You can play the game on YT without fear of anything. It is never associated with violence, nobody finds the brutality in Fortnite funny because there's none. With Minecraft and Roblox, Fortnite is currently the game most played by children. Even standard skill has a lot of income on YT because Fortnite is family friendly.
100% agree!
Well, hunger games were already in hype back then. Battle Royale is exciting because you can land each round somewhere else, the map is large, there are many different weapons that you have to play with because you find each round different, then building is what many find good, because it's something new. All in all, Fortnite is a good game, does a lot of things right, always a lot of updates. Occasionally a little too full, too many weapons e.g. But otherwise, as I said, a good game. Maybe not better than a few other titles, but I think it's good.
I just think the gameplay is boring. Try to kill others faster than some. Wow how exciting. For me pure boredom and 0 variety.
