Fortnite stopped working?

Today I wanted to log into Fortnite on the Switch, like every day. First I had to do an update and when it was finished I wanted to start Fn, but it takes an abnormally long time to load or it doesn't stop loading at all. My idea was to restart the Switch, but it didn't work either and I'm not sure if I would remember my login credentials when I reinstall the game. Can someone help me?

First of all, how long did it charge? It can happen that Fortnite (although it is actually a fairly undemanding game) loads for a long time. Did you just stop charging after a minute because you didn't want to wait any longer?
