Can I use cellphone headphones on the Xbox?

I put my cellphone headphones (with micro) in my Xbox controller but e.g. B at Fortnite I heard my Mates but it didn't belong to me.

Does anyone know why?

I think the Micro needs a different connection. Maybe you accidentally turned off the switch for the micro on your headphones. That happened to me on my Siberia v2. Just try again and you will see if it works.
