Muted sound due to voice chat?

I have had the problem for a long time that as soon as I go into a voice chat, (whether Discord, Fortnite, etc.), the sound is quieter and the sound quality deteriorates enormously. Have a Jabra Evolve 80 headset, but it can't lie, because my friend has the same problem and has completely different headphones.

With voice chat, it is perfectly normal for the other PC to make the sound quieter. This can usually be turned off in the voice chat program.
