Why does Fortnite consume 69GB on my Mac, compared to 20 Gb in the past?

If you download the game, it's 20GB.

After that, the files you have downloaded are unfolded again and then it will be at least 50 GB.

They are folded to 20 GB so you do not have to download that much 🙈

The game was never 20GB tall. It was compressed that the download goes faster, that's 20GB. These files are then unpacked without further download.
